New pumping and piping system to Denman pool for Muswellbrook Shire Council
Muswellbrook Shire Council approached PPS in regards to rectifying a problem they were having when completing the backwash process at the Denman Pool facility.
On inspection it was found that they were losing water due to a leak when completing the backwash process.
PPS used leak detection to find where the leak was located in readiness to complete the repair.
While inspecting the pump station it was found other sections of pipe were old and needed to be replaced along with valves.
Due to the complexity of the pump station this required us to send the pipework in a new direction involving removing a platform in the pump station to access a brick wall which we cut a hole in to send the pipework outside of the pump station. Buried services in the area added to the complexity so we engaged other trades to assist in the location of water and power services.
Once this was completed a trench was dug for the pipework to be placed into.
The connection between the new poly line and the old existing section of pipe was completed using a Synnoflex Coupling and then checked for leaks before the area was backfilled and rehabbed in readiness for the swimming season to begin.
Delivered on time and on budget.
